As I am becoming more and more of an old fart I move further and further away from the walkways.  Each year i look at the state of some of the tents and thank god that mud covered pile of shredded nylon isnt mine.

I've always liked the fields near the cabaret area but I cant be arsed with the mad rush to get down there.

Where is your fave pitch?

Also where is the new camping area..I cant spot it on the 'top quality' fine guide

The new camping area (which is now in it's second year) is to the south west of the site.

i prefer to put up with pitching in a walkway to walking miles cos of my 'bad back' but i have to admit it can get wearing when you're trying 2 sleep and some1 keeps falling on your head!

2 yrs in park home ground have been excellent 4 accessibility and not nearly as busy as pennards or up near the pyramid

hoping 2 see u all there on wed!

Park Home is ideal really. I've camped pretty much all over the site over the years & Park Home is perfect for everywhere I'm likely to go.

I thought there was another "new" camping area due to the increased number of tickets to be sold?

west camping has been expanded slightly again this yr and pedestrian gate 4 has moved to allow direct acces to the railway so we don't need to tromp over the dance field & other to get to the southwest camping

I hope they've increased basic infrastructure (toilets, bins, etc) as last year it collapsed, though the weather didn't help.

Agreed....too many friends pulled out this year because of the failing services last few years and increased numbers this year.

I'm used to (15 yrs) camping with a big group of about 20 people opposite the pyramid...a nice little community; this year there will be 6 of us in 2 tents.

I used to camp up from the Pyramid and it was always fantastic...you could sit in your tent and listen to just how bad Bob Dylan was in '98. Not sure this year, i will probably be joining the 'camping alone crew' in Park!!
