Metal survivors Anvil could end up playing at the Glastonbury festival if fans have their way. The band enjoyed fleeting fame in the early '80s before fading into obscurity
But
they never gave up on their dreams of rock stardom and have hit the big
time again after British director Sacha Gervasi shot a documentary
about them.
The Canadian rockers may have won
themselves a slot at the biggest music festival of the summer in June
after fans of Anvil! The Story of Anvil started an online petition.
Mr
Gervasi said: "People have been signing up to this petition to try and
get Anvil to play, so there's a bit of a public outpouring.
"(Glastonbury
organiser) Emily Eavis has gone on the record last week saying, we're
aware of this and we're hoping to see if we can fit Anvil in." Source :: ITN News
