Glastonbury Festival have confirmed the dates for the next two year's events, with a fallow year expected to follow in 2012.
The organisers are hoping to take the Olympic year off to avoid a clash with the sporting event, and to give the land at Worthy Farm, Somerset a chance to recover.
The festival usually takes every fifth year off, but there were concerns that the festival infrastructure, from staging to portable toilets, would be needed in London for the Olympics.
The festival will run for five full days from Wednesday 23 until Sunday 27 June 2010 and from Wednesday 22 until Sunday 26 June 2011.
The organisers will have to apply for a fresh licence for the 2011 festival.
Mendip District Council granted festival bosses permission for a four-year licence in 2007 to hold the world famous event.
People wanting tickets should visit the Glastonbury Festival website and register their details.
