The word is that the weather may be very good, though we're a week away & a sensible forecast won't really be made til next Monday, however things are optimistic which is nice for the 40th anniversary.
Be warned though; the site has been dry for weeks and the ground is likely to be rock hard, so make sure a decent hammer is packed!

have v productive day checking tent, airbeds etc but cannot find mallet in amongst dad's piles of stuff - i'd ask him but he's been dead 11 years! do you have a mallet and did it survive your house move??

I'm having a very, very quiet weekend this weekend, and I'm staying in bed watching the football.

I'm meant to be packing, but have the football on instead.
Does this mean I can leave my mallet at home? It won't
lighten the load by much, but every bit helps!

Right, it's time for the weather & the BBC is saying that the rest of this week is warm & sunny with very, very, very little chance of there being showers. It's looking good!

The Guardian are taking the Met Office reports and they're saying it's going to be a nice weekend.

The weather forecast for the weekend is saying it's going to be hot, very, very hot. Plus it's going to be dry, though there may be some showers on Saturday night/Sunday which will be a bit of a relief possibly after four or five days unbroken sunshine.
So pack plenty of suncream, wear a hat and enjoy what looks like the best & hottest weather at a Glastonbury since 1995 or 2002.
