I've just signed up to work with Oxfam this year, looking forward to it imensely....

Does anyone have any previous experience, stories, what to expect etc? I've heard that crew camping may be outside the fence this year, is this true? I'd rather camp within the site, but thinking of sharing tents with another crew member - one in the crew camp, one in the main site at the opposite side of the site... that way we've never got too far to go (unless we're in the middle!)

I can't wait for the crew food, hare krishna tent, sunrises, oooooo I'm excited...

I'm hopefully going to be there at least 10 days this year, personally I reckon that the set up/clean up will be just as good as the festval itself, especially once all the crowds have died down and the leftover booze is gathered

hiya,

I worked as steward for Oxfam last year for the first time and I had a brilliant time! To be honest you don't have to do a great deal - it's more about directing people and you get to have quite a bit of a natter with the other stewards.

Also last year we were provided with hot meals which were much appreciated after an eight hour shift!

Last year we all camped on site as we had a good spot up the hill (to avoid floodage!). The camping area for Oxfam isn't really far from the main site, literally round the corner from the Pyramid field so it's pretty cool. I'm not sure if if it is in the same place this year though...

Anyway, maybe see you there this year!

xx
