The Rolling Stones have been named as the bookies' favourites as the headliner to close next year's sell-out Glastonbury Festival.

Bookmaker William Hill places the Stones as 4/1 favourites to play top of the bill on the Sunday night next year, with Coldplay and David Bowie at 8/1.

Oasis, whose guitarist Noel Gallagher quit the group just moments before a show in the summer, are ranked 33/1.

I'm not saying I like some of these acts but if the headliners included three from Coldplay, Radiohead, David Bowie, Rolling Stones, REM, The Cure, White Stripes, Kylie, and Dumpy's Rusty Nuts, then I won't be surprised.
