OK, so it's getting close to the festival.

I've looked at TOS and the routes they suggest all involve coming towards the site from the south.
Does anyone know if there's access along the A37 or A361 from the north?

As I'm going to be driving a dozen hours as it is, I really don't want to drive an extra one or two to go round the long way!

The suggested routes are as follows:

London- M3 > A303> A37
NE- A1/M1 > M25 (to J12) > M3 > then as London
NW- M6 > M5 > A39 > A361
Wales- M4 > M5 > A39 > A361
Midlands- M40 > A34 > A303 > A37
West Country- A37 or A361

I've done the M5 route in twice from Bristol.
Did a strange convoluted route from south London including the A3 rather than M3 in '05, A trip past Stone Henge, and a stop at one of the nearby villages for lunch and a supermarket trip. Might have been Street. So even coming from the East I've ended up in the west car parks!
This year I'm not sure which side I'll aim for, but the west side has never been too bad for me, despite being told that the east side (blue route) has better capacity.

i always come off @23 (M5) so as 2 get in west carparks cos i can't walk all the way from east when camping by pennards or other stage etc. it's usually a pretty straight & clear(ish) run on Wed with the only hold-up being a left turn joining a busier road.....

u driving then?

That's one of the suggested routes, A39.

I think I shall do something similar. The east car parks look even further from the site than where we were put last time round in the West. Across the A361 I think the field was.

I was really just wondering if anyone had come in from the north, down A37 or such like. Is it even permitted... I can see them turning away people.
