Being a glasto virgin just wanted to get a heads up on which part of the site is best to camp in?, have heard few rumours the crime is worse near the dance tent, and i'm guessin theres areas that flood worse than others?

The dance tent doesn't exist anymore, it's now the dance village and while it was true it used to be as dodgy as f**k, in the one year they've had the dance village it seemed to be less dodgy than previous years.

As for camping; it depends what you want to see and when you turn up. If you don't turn up til Friday morning say, you'll be wherever isn't full. Have a look at the map for information but bear in mind the site is huge (compared to the likes of Reading it's nearly 5 times the size) and everywhere takes a while to get to.

Head for Big Ground. That faces the Pyramid and if you camp deep enough in, you'll avoid much of the traffic. However bear in mind you'll get traffic wherever you camp.

There is no arena; once you're in, you're in. There's nobody (legally) selling cases of booze but this year the festival has a 24 hour license so more beer tents will be open til the wee small hours.

As said, it's easily five times the size of Reading so get used to the distances between stages and wherever you'll be camping.

And you are free to take in your cases of beer that you buy off site. But bare in mind that it can be a hell of a walk from a car. Not so bad from a coach.

I've camped over the side of site that Kingmob suggested. It can be pretty nice over there, I was over a bit to the NW from the Pyramid stage on the other side of pylons. It was relatively relaxed and traffic free once you were in amongst the tents.

Oh, and the area I'm talking about is near the nature reserve. It had a few burger vans handy, which was good for a cup of tea in the morning!

You'll have restrictions on how much beer you can take on the coach. Check with the coach people but a case is probably all you'll be able to bring.
