I cant believe they sold out so quickly. I'm gutted.
My 72 VW will make it from Manchester but it will feel left out if it cant stay with the others. If you do have a spare I would be massively grateful.
Thanks
Andy

I now have this image of a van, sitting on its own in a sea of mondeos, with a slightly down-turned grill...

You are probably right.
If a don't get a spare I'll really miss the 'community' in the campervan field & walking all the way back to the parking field wont be much fun either. MOAN MOAN.
Wonder why they sold out so quickly this year - (I've been told they sold out day after ticket sales, when 2 years ago they were still on sale weeks after initial ticket sale)??

Perhaps with no tickets going to touts, more of the campervan owners got tickets first time round, and so were able to buy campervan tickets straight away.
Or it could just be more people have decided a campervan is the way forward, after floods of 2005. Or the campervan field could be smaller, so less tickets available. Anything I say would just be a guess, as it could be any number of reasons.
Keep your eyes peeled, there might be the odd one comes up available for sale.

hi to another fellow VW owner, I am not going for the first year in 18! but the van field is the way forward, you cannot sleep in your van if you end up in the normal field though so you wonlt have to walk back to it till Monday, good luck sorting one if you can

Does that mean sleeping in the normal parking field is forbidden? I asked on the phone and they didn't know. I'm a bit stuffed if thats the case...unless the kind soul on the forum helps me out.
Fingers crossed
